Who else is getting ready for the BBQ season? Just my 2 cents, if you are BBQ veteran that would like to share in the tips, feel free to add your comments ^O^~ 

 

BBQ 101 - Preparing your BBQ for the season.  

 

If you have a gas grill

1. Make sure you do a leak check following the manufacturers’ instructions in your machines’s menu for safety reason.  Check all connections to make sure everything is good to go.  

 

2. Inspect burners and clean the dust, debris and spider webs that built up during winter with toothpick or something similar

 

3.  Deep clean, use scrubbing pads and soapy water scrub the bbq and all the grilling parts and allow to dry thoroughly.

 

4.  Finally, fire it up and leave it on to burn off any cleaning residues.  

 

If you have a charcoal grill 

1. Remove the grill components  and scrub it clean.  

 

2. clean out all the residues and debris from the bottom.  Once clean, wash the whole thing with soapy water and leave it out to dry thoroughly

 

3. Finally fire it up and let it burn on high temp for 15 min to burn off any cleaning residues.  

 

4. Season your grill with vegetable oil  / shortening and you are good to go! 

 

Of course time to stock up on cold cold iced lemon tea and beers, cheers!

如果你是gas 的烤架

1.  當把烤架從倉庫裡挖出來後, 安全措施, ㄧ定要照廠商使用手冊的步驟確認所有的接管沒有漏氣或裂痕.  檢視所有的接線確認ㄧ切工作正常.  

 

2.  用小牙籤或類似的東西清理出火口在ㄧ個冬天堆積下來的灰塵跟蜘蛛網

 

3.  使用刷子, 清潔劑從裏到外狠狠的刷乾淨, 放置室外風乾

 

4.  開火, 讓它燒15 分鐘燒掉殘留的清潔劑

 

如果你是用炭火烤架

 

1.  把烤架跟內部取出用刷子清潔劑刷乾淨

 

2.  把上季殘留的灰取出, 用水和清潔劑裡外刷乾淨.  至於戶外讓它風乾

 

3.  放入新的碳點火讓它燒15 分鐘燒去殘留的清潔劑

 

4   烤架從新上油保養. 

 

最後當然要趕快準備好冰鎮檸檬紅茶跟冰啤酒的啦!
